Intermediate Processing of Industrial Wastes

We tackle environment-related issues by processing a wide range of industrial waste at plants of our group.

Industrial waste
  • Waste plastics
  • Wood chips
  • Scrap metals
  • Wastepaper
  • Residue
  • Sludge
  • Waste oil
  • Waste acid
  • Waste alkali
  • Waste textile
  • Glass wastes, concrete wastes and pottery wastes
  • Waste rubber
  • Animal and plant residue
  • Solid animal wastes
  • Livestock excretion
  • Domestic animal carcasses
Industrial wastes subject to special control
  • Hospital wastes
  • Infectious industrial wastes
  • Flammable waste oil

Shredding and sorting process

"Waste can be reusable by being shredded. Waste is processed into appropriate condition and shape at the time of recycling or disposal.
Mechanical separation is indispensable for optimal recycling. When dismantling vehicles or electric home appliances, separation of waste may be manual, or may be mechanical using machines such as “multi-sorter” to separate by material, color, etc."

Incineration Process

Waste incinerator is in operation at Tsutsumi Plant. Stable incineration is executed while suppressing emission of toxic substances, and its operating condition is monitored at the central control room.

Waste Water Intermediate Treatment

"We have a wastewater treatment facility at the head factory of TOYOKIN.
Leachate from disposal sites of controlled type such as rainwater and cutting oil from production plants is biologically treated.
Oil is recycled and water that satisfies processing standard is reused as cooling water in factories."

Intermediate Processing of General waste

Intermediate processing of metallic recyclable waste from Toyota City

"We process metallic refuse from general household in Toyota City such as cans for beverage and food, umbrellas, and toys with metal screws.
Separated iron and non-ferrous metals (aluminum scrap waste, copper wire waste, etc.) are recycled as metal raw materials, which results in reduction of landfill waste."

Spray cans and lighters

Disposable lighters and spray cans are safely crushed by dedicated crushing machine.

Fluorescent lamps

"Collected fluorescent lamps are crushed by fluorescent crusher and sent to Itomuka Plant of Nomura Kohsan Co., Ltd.
Fluorescent lamps are separated into mercury, glass, and metals. Mercury is reused as mercury reagent and material for fluorescent lamps, glass as material for glass wool (heat-insulation material), and metals as metal raw materials."

Dry batteries

"Waste dry batteries are regarded as toxic recyclable waste. We also collect them and send to Nomura Kohsan.
They are dismantled, separated, and processed to be reused as raw materials for electronic parts and metal raw materials."

Intermediate processing of construction waste

We take up recycling and final disposal of construction waste produced when dismantling/constructing buildings to promote 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) necessary to realize a recycling-based society.

Dismantling

We carry out reliable dismantling operations that satisfy strict safety and environmental standards required by customers by the motto “Safety has priority over anything.” We handle wide range of buildings from a house to a factory building.

Operations are carried out securely by eligible personnels.

  • Wooden structure
  • Ferroconcrete/steel structure
  • Plant facilities and warehouses
  • Buildings that have asbestos material

Processing flow

Construction waste produced by dismantling is transported to our plant for intermediate processing and then, recycling or appropriate disposal.

"Waste is separated by a sorting machine into lightweight items, heavy items, and rubble.
This process generates reusable resources and enables recycling that matches specific purposes so that construction waste can be recycled as much as possible. It also contributes to a reduction of disposal volume such as landfill."
